Meet Our New Intern!

The Purpose Worldwide internship program is proud to introduce our new intern for the fall of 2022. Learn more about this future PR communications expert below and be sure to check us out on LinkedIn.

Sarah Elisabeth Geibel

Tell us a little bit about your background:

My full name is Sarah Elisabeth Geibel, yes spelled with a “s” instead of a “z”. This was begrudgingly something I always corrected others on growing up, but have learned to warmly embrace the spelling in homage to my French roots. I was born in the first state to ratify the US constitution (yay Delaware!), but grew up in San Antonio, Texas my whole life sans college.

I attended TCU where I majored in secondary education until I began my student teaching career and quickly realized what saints my educators had been and I did not share in their sainthood. I ended up graduating with a bachelors in Communications/PR and a minor in English. Since graduating, I have held jobs in healthcare, non-profits, interior design, and retail management – somewhat a jack of all trades.

What made you apply to Purpose Worldwide? In wanting to make a career transition into PR, I knew there was no better company to build a foundation of knowledge. From my first interview with Purpose Worldwide, I was taken through a “day in the life” of one of their PR partners and was sold on the invigorating nature my interviewer expressed when talking about her job. There was so much opportunity to learn, as well as, a set fast pace ensuring no day would be identical. I instantly wanted to begin my journey within the environment presented at Purpose Worldwide; a company with a collaborative team of employees, an impressive list of clientele, and female founders Lana McGilvray, Cassady Nordeen, and Julie Ginches who are on the cutting edge of their field – who wouldn’t want to apply to Purpose Worldwide?

What do you hope to accomplish in this internship?: First and foremost, I want to learn as much as possible from everyone at Purpose Worldwide. That way I have the right tools to effectively help companies accomplish their goals. There are so many companies that deserve recognition for their amazing work and are not generating enough buzz for success. I want to help those companies hone their mission in a way that reaches and attracts the masses.

Is there anything else you’d want people to know?: I have a white shih tzu named Waffles. I know what you are thinking, but no she is the opposite of a prissy lap dog. Although she does love to chill, she also loves playing fetch on land and swimming in water.

Describe yourself using five words: Honest, Curious, Organized, Creative, and Savvy

What’s your favorite brand?: Apple, the products and logo are genius

What’s your favorite food?: Thai food, specifically Pad Woon Sen

What’s your favorite book/movie/song(s)?:

Book: White Oleander by Janet Finch. This book began my love affair for the written language/diction/prose.

Movie: Silence of the Lambs. it’s really hard to make a thriller that has a great plot, good character development, and above average acting.

Song: I feel like this is equivalent to asking a parent who their favorite child is…always more than one!
